Catching Daisies

It was so out of left field,

the diamond in the center of

a freshly picked bouquet of daisies.

You didn’t even balk or bat an eye

when you popped the question.

I wasn’t sure whether to play it safe

and run home

or slide right into a new life with you.

You were certainly a great catch and

I’d be making an enormous error if I didn’t

say yes.  So I did.
