Write Out Loud

Write across cotton candy clouds

catch the words out loud

scatter them into the sea

’til the words come back to me.

dVerse – Grace is hosting OLN.  I wrote a few poems for the postcard prompt a couple of weeks ago but didn’t post them all.  Here’s one of my attempts.

Fun — and great creative image — creating, letting loose, receiving. Nice. Succinctly beautiful

Nice description of an unusual process of the clouds taking words and then the sea bringing them back.

Love the play on words! Do I notice the sea showing up in your thoughts a bit lately? 🙂 It makes me long for a trip to the ocean… maybe tomorrow. Always a pleasure to stop by your blog and read.

Yes, the sea returns everything… thought I sent you a reply earlier but after all I’m a “newbie” at internet engineering. Lovely poem puff.

I liked playing with the idea that we send our words out there and they aren’t just floating along on an endless sea, but reaching places, and that more words will come back to us.

One will always give a voice and an opportunity to others. It is only fair in a relationship! Rightly so Lynn!

When I first read this I took it in like postcard words cast out from afar — and then after skimming the replies the sea felt like a sea of readers. I enjoy how apparent simplicity can hold so much.

Message without a bottle. Few words nicely chosen that convey many meanings!

Love the imagery, writing on clouds. Are cotton candy clouds really spun in a giant state fair?
