The Muse

Black birds in sky 5.8.17

Muse –

the color of indigo skies

and black birds’ eyes

lunch dangles from his mouth

green leaves dance

wind chimes enchant

an echoing breeze from the south.

Outstretched wings will fly

capture the black birds’ sigh

fill up the word well from this drought.

The muse is all of these things. I like the idea of filling up the “word well”.

The rhyme and slant rhyme you’ve got here is just wonderful. Just an amazing use of sound, throughout.
