A Pond Reflection

Upon reflection

remember the sun

still shines.

Deep in direction

further inspection

rays climb.

Oasis to stun

explore affection

pond side.

Clever take on the form. I especially love how the title and the first line fit together….like puzzle pieces when they mesh.

You always blend word play with sublte truth in such a disarming way. I am a fan of your talent, my friend!

Nice personal reflection piece. Pond as metaphor and reality. We have one out back, and that’s how it rolls!

  8. I found myself in reverie at the side of the pond. Ancient druids used many methods to still the mind and open the door. Staring into fire, shiny convex metal and that’s what this piece had me doing. I could see both the dazzle surface and dark depths, both stunned and exploring affection.
‘That’ is a good poem ! thank you

  10. I did enjoy this, Lynn. A little bit of sunshine is in order here, today–another one that’s mostly gray. Sitting by water is such a stilling experience for most people. It is cleansing. Thanks for this.
