Words of Unreason

Day 20 of 28 Days of Unreason

“Words are moving water, muddy, clear, or both” – Jim Harrison

The mudslide made great sense
until muddled questions
left unanswered
up from the bottom
where you could’ve bought a thought
with a splash
of transparency.

This is beautiful. Made me think a lot. Even muddle my brain a bit!

  2. Lynn, this is a tremendous piece ! Reminds me of a zen Buddhist Koan such as ‘the one hand clapping’

I pondered over this several times before the mud began to clear and I saw it all! That bit of transparency that makes so many things clear in the world of words. This has layers – I love a poem that doesn’t give away its answers but makes me work for them. 🙂
