  1. There’s something entrancing, beyond visible beauty, about a Butterfly, and you’ve captured it in a few lines ! Lovely !

This is beauty in so few words. Although the word “shade” isn’t actually in the body of the poem, the darkness is there — and the imaging is there. This is fragility defined. Beautiful!

Great use of the synonym word ‘shadow’ for shade! There is a fleeting, fluttering connection to our fragile, short-lived humaness. Lovely picture, too!

So the shadows can’t consume her… or anything else. The message for the reader: “keep flapping.”

  6. Beautiful brevity in these lines…just like the life of the butterfly.
